Every style magazine or newspaper has constant fashion advice for the women looking for the latest look. Despite the majority of the nation being anything but a 6 ft size zero, they offer fashion tips based on these so called ideal looks.

First things first, be yourself.
Whilst other people may make judgements based on what you wear, you won’t be yourself unless you feel comfortable. So wear whatever you want .. perhaps just adopt it slightly to suit your shape, especially true for Petite women.
Petite women are often characterised as being ‘girly’, which has it’s place but you may also want to consider balancing your looks with a more refined look, one that evokes elegance and presence. A stylish women exudes confidence. This is true whatever your size.
More fashion tips for Petite women:
- wide open neck, v-neck or square neck lines help to give definition across the chest and neck, which in turn draws attention to the face and gives you a longer looking neck
- tailored or shaped t-shirts this will emphasise your breast without being indecent
- a wrap or cardigan will give a more slim line silhouette than a chunky jumper
- Bootleg trousers are great for enhancing the length of your legs
- Straight cut trousers made of soft fabric hang nicely and create a slim silhouette, therefore adding to your height
- Cropped trousers are great as it exposed your legs and creates an illuision of a long legs
- Mini skirts and skirts that hovers over the knee give the impression of longer legs
- Long skirts that flare at the bottom help to add to the height illusion
Think twice before wearing some of the following:
- sleeveless t-shirts, especially if you have chunky arms
- puff sleeves, it can give the impression that you have big arms, even if you don’t
- tops with frills or pleating, this adds extra volume and will likely to make you look bigger than you are
- extra long sleeves, this will just make your arms look short in proportion to your body
- baggy clothes, will make your upper top look a lot shorter
- tiny or very tight fitting clothes
- high and round-neck tops, will emphasize large chests in an unflattering manner
- big belts
- tight fitting trousers, jeans or leggings with shorter tops

I have a size 36 FF bust (according to M&S fitting), however I have a 35 inch hip that makes me a 14 top and an 8 bottom. Crickey what size of dress do I buy? Surely Jordan and kin like folk should be able to buy petite range without doing designer? Advice please.
